MS1 Summer International Project: Pre- and Post-Travel Requirements

Pre-Travel Requirements

All students who participate in a mentored international summer project are required to:

1)    Be in good academic standing.

2)    Complete all required IMSE/Registrar paperwork (Consent, Waiver & Release forms)

3)    Register travel with WCM Risk Management and the State Department

4)    Ensure your passport and travel documents are up to date

5)    Obtain the appropriate visa (if necessary)

6)    Schedule a Travel Clinic Appointment to discuss vaccines and prophylaxis (if necessary)

7)    Complete Required Online Ethics training

8)    Attend Pre-Departure Workshop

Post-Travel Requirements

All students who participate in a mentored international summer project are required to:

1)    Prepare a poster for display at the Fall International Fellows Reception (held in October)

2)    Submit a narrative summary (Impact Statement) within 4 weeks of return.

*Please note: Failure to comply with required pre- and post-travel requirements in a timey manner may jeopardize your qualification to receive funding and/or result in a professionalism report.
