Many Weill Cornell students are interested in an international learning experience to enhance their understanding of healthcare and medical care delivery in other countries. The Office of International Medical Student Education works with students to engage in global health learning opportunities abroad. These opportunities include first year students who take international electives in the summer after first year, and clinical electives for fourth year students. Additionally, a few students elect to take a year off between their third and fourth year to spend the year in another country doing research. Finally, students also have the opportunity to complete their AOC Scholarly Project in the field of global health. See more information about our programs below.
