Application Timeline & Instructions

Fall Term MS1
    • Students should begin to think about summer projects. It never is too early to begin to think about summer. Review the WCM Student Stories from the Field and the Student Previous Placements pages to learn about opportunities abroad and to explore the global health projects previously undertaken by students.
    • Attend the Fall International Fellows Reception – held annually in October to showcase the work of the recent MS1 student summer research projects. Meet and network with WCM Global Health Faculty to hear about summer opportunities.
    • Send emails and meet potential faculty mentors informally to see if they have projects which may be a good fit for you and your skill set.
    • Schedule a meeting with IMSE Directors (Dr. Laura Greisman and Dr. Radhika Sundararajan at IMSEdirectors@med.cornell.edu) for guidance and advice.

The application, rubric and annual deadline will be shared by email with the MS1 class.
